Before I show you how to take full advantage of the number 2 most visited site, where over 350 million people meet. Let me share with you why this is a major problem for your marketing efforts. Your main focus as a business owner is getting results from your marketing efforts right? Well, would you agree that there is a right and a wrong way to market to someone? The type of people posting like I mentioned above are doing it the wrong way and its causing many problems for them.

For starters most people don’t like pushy sales people or being sold period. You must stand out from the crowd and be different from everyone else. This is what attracts people to want to buy from from you. To stand out from the crowd does not take much work on your part the site tells you what its for. Just look at what the site is called, “Social Network” The first part is Social… So Be Sociable! Find out what problems people are facing in their life right now by asking questions.

Before you start asking question you want to introduce yourself. Hi my name is (Insert your name) How are you doing? Ask people what they do for a living, how they like what they do, why they dont like what they do, what are they doing right now to change their current situation. Don’t sound like and interrogator make it conversational like you were face to face.

Conversations alone, getting to know someone becoming invited in their world can create more success than you can imagine on any social networking site. You can even have people start conversations with you by posting Good Valuable content in the Facebook news feed. For example post quotes that people can relate to. I love posting great quotes on Facebook, this draws people to me like wild fire.

Maybe you know of a free webinar that helps someone with a possible situation they may be facing in their life or business. Or some good training showing them how to Market Their Network Marketing Business Online the correct way. Also if people request you to be their friend send them a message and get to know them. You can say, Thanks for the friend request looking forward to getting to know you. What do you do? This starts a conversation instantly creating the second part of social networking, “Networking.”

There are so many ways to market on Facebook to attract people to you and start a conversation with you obviously I cant go into every detail in this article. Its 7:00am as I awake this morning, not sure what to write and I turned on the television. Now I know what your thinking, “Antwuan you watch TV after you said how unproductive it is?” Yes! I watch one show every morning for my spiritual being and that is Creflo Dollar Ministries on BET.

Normally I’ll just listen and take it all in but this morning I couldn’t help but to grab my Black Berry and start typing notes.
So I thought I’d share what I learned so you can benefit from this in your life as well. Creflo Dollar talked about 7 Steps To Change and why if you don’t change, your life will never get better.

Here are the 7 Steps To Change:

Step 1: Decide To Change
This is the key and first step in every task you take on in life. Deciding is one ingredient in getting what you want. Know that deciding to change means nothing without Action.

2.Desire To Change
Having a desire is very important when it comes to changing. Reason being its not enough just to want to change or create the life you dream of. Without the desire to actually get it done it won’t happen for you. Not just any desire, you must have a burning desire.

3.Deepen Your knowledge of the word of God
Are you just praying everyday for a miracle to happen in your life? If so Stop you are the miracle everyday you wake up you have another chance to create the life you desire to have. How will you use your 24 hours today will you be productive and have a make it happen attitude or will you say well nothin happen yesterday so what makes today any different. Instead realize God has giving you the opportunity many people in the graveyard wish they had.

4.Diligence- change requires
I would say this is the main reason why your not as successful as you want to be. Many people feel well I did something productive a week straight and nothing happened what gives. Well in order for the seeds you plant today or last week to harvest you have to continue to water it everyday. Over time those seeds will bring forth all the hopes and dreams you have been waiting for.

5. Defend your Mind from old thoughts and old ways

Are you still thinking how you were in the past…If so here’s some good advice. The only reason you should go in your past is to know where you come from to tell your story and inspire others.

6. Disassociate from some people and some circumstances
This is by far one of the hardest of most people myself included I felt well my friend smoke and drink Ill just hang with them and not do it and everything will be OK…Wrong! Peer pressure is one of the main reason many young people are doing drugs today. You want to surround yourself with positive people. Ask yourself what is this person doing to me and do I like it and will it help me reach my goals and dreams. If the answer is no then find some new friends.

7.Depend on God and his word for help
Depending on God you can’t never go wrong. There is a new song called, “Men Lie Women Lie Numbers Don’t Lie” by rapper Yo Gotti. I like to say Men Lie Women lie But God Don’t lie. Its said in the bible that God will never forsake you if you trust in him.

Have you ever wondered what type of income the wealthiest people in the world use to create their fortune and do it by working less hours?

Most people are relying on the more traditional way of creating an income for themselves and are getting know where fast; Such a way is:

Linear Income

The best way to explain linear income is money you receive when you work or trading your time for dollars. Working 40 hours a week and getting paid one time for those 40 hours. With this type of income your income is a direct result of you being actively involved continuously.

The problem with this type of income is the minute you stop working or get sick the income stops immediately. Meaning with out you being actively involved the income will not come in for you. Yes you may get vacation time but even that has a limit of 1-2 weeks then its back to work to keep income coming in.

Another problem with this type of income is that on your job you are helping your boss live on the Cayman Island or somewhere nice and warm sipping on a Margarita with an umbrella in the glass.

Here’s a good question to ask yourself, “Who’s helping you get to the Cayman Island or live the life of your dreams?

Luckily for you there is such a way to create the lifestyle you read about in the magazines or you hear about on TV. What if there was such a way to earn income continuously from work you have done right one time. Its through a income stream called:

Residual Income

Residual income is income that you continue to receive after a sale. An example of residual income is when you write a book, get paid for the initial sales of the book, but then get a percentage of all future sales. The percentage would be your residual income.

This type of income you see being generated mostly by celebrity singers, songwriters, inventors in the form of royalties.

The best thing about residual income is that it spurs off into multiple income streams for you as well such as:

Passive Income

This type of income allows you to earn income without actively being involved. Think of it this way, right now you are working 40-70 hours a week and getting paid once. How would you like to get paid for that same work you did working those 40-70 hours over and over again.

This is the true meaning of passive income this is what allows your boss to live on the beach while you slave at work all day.

The last income stream Residual Income allows is:

Leveraged Income

This is best described by a quote from one of the past wealthiest men in the world, J. Paul Getty. He said, “Id rather have 1% of 100 peoples efforts than 100% of my own!”

Leverage income allows you to earn income off the efforts of other people. Think it about if you were on vacation with your family and when you returned your bank account increased everyday. How good would that feel?

Why do you want to start or why did you start your home business?

Your why should be emotionally attached to you. I once heard from a top network marketer that your why must make you cry.

What is something that is so emotionally attached to you that you literally will Die to get it? This is how strong your why must be, it should break your heart everyday you do not possess whatever it is.

These are the type of emotions and feelings you should have in your business to keep you going.

The main reason your why should be something so emotionally attached to you that it bring tears to your eyes with even the thought of quitting is because there will be tough times. You will not want to get up everyday and do this business.

Life will get in the way your friends will call you crazy and you will come across those people who will tell you no to your opportunity. This is where your why steps in and help you to say, Some Will! Some Won’t! So What! Next!(SW..SW..SW..N)

So is the reason you started your home-business strong enough to withstand the tough times you will face on your journey to network marketing success?

1. Write your why down on paper

2. Post your why everywhere(bathroom mirror,refrigerator,bedroom ceiling, bedroom mirror, etc.)

3. Read your why first thing in the morning and right before you go to bed at night

Was 2009 everything you expected it to be?

Did you reach your 2009 resolutions?

As I sit here writing this article, reflecting on how my 2009 has been my main question is how can I make 2010 even better. That’s what my main focus as well as your main focus should be.

Ask yourself, “What can I learn from  2009 that I can improve on in 2010?”

As for me one thing would be getting started late. I get so caught up in the little stuff that it doesn’t leave much time on whats important for better results.

It seems I don’t get started until the end of the month or the end of the year. Although I make things happen I would be able to focus on key areas in my business like tracking my results. My business partner calls me the teams clutch player, he can always count on me to bring in the last few numbers our team needs. I learned though if I take that same make it happen Attitude all month or all year long I will be able to accomplish much more.

So what have you learned from 2009 that you will become better at in 2010?

One thing you do here alot about is people quitting to soon on there goals due to short term thinking.

Most people have the mentality that if something doesnt happen in 1-2 months its not going to work. This is why in the month of January the gyms of the world are all filled with what I like to call false hope. Many people in the gym right now are expecting quick results and when February or March rolls around and they dont have the perfect physique that they are looking for, they Quit.

I read a story by Zig Ziglar of the Chinese bamboo tree.

“The process goes like this: You take a little seed, plant it, water it, and fertilize it for a whole year, and nothing happens. The second year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens. The third year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens. How discouraging this becomes! The fifth year you continue to water and fertilize the seed and then—take note. Sometime during the fifth year, the Chinese bamboo tree sprouts and grows NINETY FEET IN SIX WEEKS!

Life is much akin to the growing process of the Chinese bamboo tree. It is often discouraging. We seemingly do things right, and nothing happens. But for those who do things right and are not discouraged and are persistent things will happen. Finally we begin to receive the rewards.”

Many people may ask why does it take so long for the bamboo to grow. The answer is simple, it is growing!

Although the bamboo tree may not appear to be growing in the first few seasons, the main thing it is doing is building its foundation, the roots. Without the roots, the tree would not be stable enough to withstand the heavy winds in the fall.

Have you built your foundation in your life or business?

You have a choice, either you can discipline yourself or someone else will.

To Do or Not To Do…That is the
Question! Thought I’d give you a lil Shakespeare.

Discipline is nothing more than the process of focusing on any chosen activity without interruption until that activity is complete.

In the dictionary it reads discipline is an Action word. Its not something you think about doing its like Nike ” Just Do!”

The dictionary also states that discipline is about training yourself  to act in accordance with rules; drill: military discipline.  If you know someone or you yourself are in the military, you know the one skill you will learn is discipline.

Discipline is also an activity, exercise, or a regimen that develops or improves a skill; according to the dictionary. Disciplining yourself to do the necessary activity over and over consistently will give you the results you are looking for.

Discipline is the ability to stay focused on your chosen action path without detour, distraction, or interruption. It is having complete Laser focus like a Rhino. Did you know Rhino’s charge with there eyes closed? Rhinos will not stop until they hit there target. Do you have this type of discipline working for you?

This is the type of discipline you need to have in your MLM business. Discipline allows you to reach heights in your business you can only imagine.

Ask yourself what one activity that if I disciplined myself to doing everyday, will bring me the biggest results.

Bottom line don’t be fooled by someone who says anyone don’t work, both work many leaders have proven it. I know this is not what you wanted to hear but here is what makes them work, your Skill set. What skills do you have right now in either of these marketing techniques?

Increasing your self worth in this economy right now, is what makes or breaks whether you will have true success in any business.

Everyone is talking about how important this is more now than ever before. This is the best time to get trained on a skill especially if you don’t have one already. Schools, businesses, and jobs of America are stressing the importance of increasing your skill set.

Are you good at recruiting people to your business? If not than I suggest you increase this skill as soon as NOW! This is the one skill you will need to possess to create true time freedom in your life. Like Paul J. Getty says, “I rather have 1% of 100 peoples effort than 100% of my own”  This skill will allow you to spend time with your loved ones and still make money.

How good are you at communicating with your prospects?

This is the number 1 skill that will allow you to move mountains in life. In order for any business or any person to flourish to heights you can only imagine, this skill MUST be mastered. Yet it is one of the must undeveloped skills of today.

Most people don’t recognize that if they will learn this skill it will increase there income 10 fold. It doesn’t matter what company or job your with, increase your communication skills and you will be successful. Here’s another resource that I feel is one of the best on the subject of communication skills and asking the right questions. Jeffery Combs, Dani Johnson and Doug Fireball.

Now with those key skills under your belt you will be dangers in your business. And you thought it was the economy that was the reason why your business is not successful? NOPE! Its YOU!

How good are you at the following:
Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, Video Marketing, PPC, Keyword Research, List Building and some new offline techniques.

Online marketing can be confusing with all the different ways to generate income online. The reason why people go online in network marketing is to generate there own Leads. Not to mention to have prospects chasing you instead of you chasing them for a change.

The key is to FOCUS on ONE technique until you master it. Once you decide on the technique you want to master online then find someone to follow, who have mastered that skill and don’t stop until you are generating at least 10 leads everyday.
