Linear Income

The best way to explain linear income is money you receive when you work or trading your time for dollars. Working 40 hours a week and getting paid one time for those 40 hours. With this type of income your income is a direct result of you being actively involved continuously.

The problem with this type of income is the minute you stop working or get sick the income stops immediately. Meaning with out you being actively involved the income will not come in for you. Yes you may get vacation time but even that has a limit of 1-2 weeks then its back to work to keep income coming in.

Another problem with this type of income is that on your job you are helping your boss live on the Cayman Island or somewhere nice and warm sipping on a Margarita with an umbrella in the glass.

Here’s a good question to ask yourself, “Who’s helping you get to the Cayman Island or live the life of your dreams?

Luckily for you there is such a way to create the lifestyle you read about in the magazines or you hear about on TV. What if there was such a way to earn income continuously from work you have done right one time. Its through a income stream called:

Residual Income

Residual income is income that you continue to receive after a sale. An example of residual income is when you write a book, get paid for the initial sales of the book, but then get a percentage of all future sales. The percentage would be your residual income.

This type of income you see being generated mostly by celebrity singers, songwriters, inventors in the form of royalties.

The best thing about residual income is that it spurs off into multiple income streams for you as well such as:

Passive Income

This type of income allows you to earn income without actively being involved. Think of it this way, right now you are working 40-70 hours a week and getting paid once. How would you like to get paid for that same work you did working those 40-70 hours over and over again.

This is the true meaning of passive income this is what allows your boss to live on the beach while you slave at work all day.

The last income stream Residual Income allows is:

Leveraged Income

This is best described by a quote from one of the past wealthiest men in the world, J. Paul Getty. He said, “Id rather have 1% of 100 peoples efforts than 100% of my own!”

Leverage income allows you to earn income off the efforts of other people. Think it about if you were on vacation with your family and when you returned your bank account increased everyday. How good would that feel?

Why do you want to start or why did you start your home business?

Your why should be emotionally attached to you. I once heard from a top network marketer that your why must make you cry.

What is something that is so emotionally attached to you that you literally will Die to get it? This is how strong your why must be, it should break your heart everyday you do not possess whatever it is.

These are the type of emotions and feelings you should have in your business to keep you going.

The main reason your why should be something so emotionally attached to you that it bring tears to your eyes with even the thought of quitting is because there will be tough times. You will not want to get up everyday and do this business.

Life will get in the way your friends will call you crazy and you will come across those people who will tell you no to your opportunity. This is where your why steps in and help you to say, Some Will! Some Won’t! So What! Next!(SW..SW..SW..N)

1. Write your why down on paper

2. Post your why everywhere(bathroom mirror,refrigerator,bedroom ceiling, bedroom mirror, etc.)

3. Read your why first thing in the morning and right before you go to bed at night

This pass Saturday(October 3, 2009) marked exactly 90days til the end of the year.

Have you asked yourself, “Where will I be when the clock strikes 12midnite at the end of 2009?”

Will you have reached heights you never thought was possible or will you be stuck in regret?The choice is yours!

You hear all the time what many people have accomplish in 90days. Many of the industry leaders work in 90 cycles on the their businesses to reach massive success. I know of one Leader named Jeff Olson author of  “The Slight Edge” who speaks about working in 90day cycles. He talks about in 90 days you will be able to focus more and give your self clarity on your goals.

Even on a J.O.B(Just Over Broke) they put you on a 90 probationary period. I’ve always seem to never make it pass this period before I was on search for another one. Thank God I found the Network Marketing (MLM) or Home-Based Business industry. Now that cycle has finally ended.  Wheeew! The good thing bout it is I made some good friendships whom Ive been able to make money with over the years. I know… I know I’m rambling! Back to the Power of 90 Days.

There are a lot of challenges going on right now  in different industries just because its the last quarter of the year. Many people wait all year before they realize they don’t have much time to reach their end of the year goals. Did  you know that you could design your future instead of having it just happen to you? After doing some research I found that there’s a technique to this 90 Day Phenomenon. The key is to work backwards 90,60,30,weekly all the way down to you the day. What are you doing today that will bring you closer to your goals in the next 90days? Are your activities pushing you forward or pushing you away from your goals?

Here are some benefits for 90 days:
Better tracking in the short term
You can use the info you accumulated to come up with your main objective(Yearly Goal).
Allows you to react quickly to something that’s not working and adjust it accordingly to reach your big dreams
Keeps you close to the possibility of change when it occurs so you can meet the demands of the market and stay focused on your yearly goal.
